| | The applicant for the Step III program must have (a), (b), or (c)
| | a) | Successfully completed a licensed MBTI® Certification Program (this would be from January of 2009 and after). This program provides training in both the Step I and Step II assessments and is provided by Consulting Psychologists Press (CPP), Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT), American Management Association (AMA), Psychometrics Canada, or GS Consultants.
|
| b) | Successfully completed a licensed MBTI® Step I™ Qualifying Program (this would be prior to 2009) through a provider licensed by CPP.
With this option, since the Qualifying program did not include Step II training, the applicant to the Step III program must have subsequently gained knowledge of, and had experience with, the Step II instrument. If you do not have any experience with the MBTI Step II instrument, here are some steps that would provide adequate background:
1) Locate a Certified Master Practitioner from the referral network and take the MBTI Step II instrument, read the Step II™ Manual, then purchase the MBTI Step II instrument and incorporate it in your professional repertoire
2) Take an advanced MBTI® Step II™ Program offered by CAPT or CPP, Inc.
|
| c) | Alternatively, the applicant will: (1) Have successfully completed a Master's degree or higher in a helping profession (refer to the approved courses list above), (2) Be educationally eligible to purchase the MBTI assessment, and (3) Have completed CAPT's training program "Using Type in Counseling."
| |
| (3) | Experience Providing One-to-One Feedback to Clients
| | The applicant must have two or more years experience in coaching, counseling, psychotherapy, or other kinds of therapeutic services.
