The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument is administered by trained professionals all over the world and is the most widely used personality assessment of its kind. It is based on well-researched and validated personality theory with proven applications in a variety of fields, including:

Co-founded in 1975 by Isabel Briggs Myers, author of the MBTI® assessment, CAPT has over 30 years of experience in both certification and advanced MBTI® training.
The CAPT MBTI® Certification Program is designed to equip you with the essential information and experience you need to begin using the MBTI® assessments. Upon successful completion of the course you will be able to purchase and administer both MBTI® Step I™ and Step II™ assessments.
Daily Schedule 8:00am–5:00pm, 8:00am–4:00pm last day.
The four–day course curriculum includes:
An overview of the theory of psychological type
Exploration of the four dichotomous scales that result in the 16 personality types
Common applications of the MBTI instrument when working with both individuals and organizations
A skill-building session for giving basic type feedback
Experiential exercises to reinforce participant learning
Discussions of the ethical use of the Indicator
Tuition includes:
A comprehensive notebook of program materials, including a DVD ROM for introductory presentations
Books required for the course (shipped at the time of registration) – MBTI® Manual, 3rd Edition; Introduction to Type, 6th Edition; MBTI® Step II Manual; MBTI® Step II User's Guide; Understanding Your Step II Results; and the MBTI® Step I™ and Step II™ Feedback Sessions DVD

In the event you do not pass the exams, an essay retake exam
will be sent to you.
You may reschedule one time only at no additional charge, but you must notify the CAPT Training
Department in writing 14 business days prior to the start of the program, providing the registration has
been paid in full. If the registration has not been paid in full, then full payment is required before a date
transfer can be made.
If you reschedule after the 14-day cutoff or have subsequent transfers, a fee of $100 will be due
immediately for each instance.
Cancellations must be received in writing 7 business days prior to the start of the program, and are subject
to a $450 administrative fee. (For one or two-day programs, the cancellation fee is $100.)
Cancellations after the 7-day cutoff and no-shows will forfeit 50% of the tuition. Materials are not
refundable.
CAPT is not responsible for any travel expenses that may occur when you reschedule a registration.
In the event that CAPT must cancel a class we will give you as much advance notice as possible. CAPT will make every effort to accommodate your needs and rebook you in a different class. CAPT is not responsible for any travel expenses that may occur from the cancellation of a scheduled class.

To be recognized by the publisher (CPP, Inc.) as being eligible to administer and use the MBTI instrument without attending a licensed certification program, you must hold a Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
