Using Type in Career Development

PROGRAM ESSENTIALS

Class Overview

In today's challenging job market, coaches, counselors, HR directors, and career professionals of all backgrounds require innovative skills for assisting organizations with career-related topics, including vocational development and employee advancement and retention. In addition, career professionals may find their clients in need of assistance with career choices, transitions, and career development.

In this two-day class you will learn how to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument to assist clients in developing strategies and skills necessary for optimal career management, including best-fit careers, techniques for career development, empowerment, and decision making.

Isabel Myers' earliest goal for the Indicator was to help people choose careers that would call on their strengths and be interesting and exciting. This workshop, designed for career professionals already familiar with the MBTI instrument, explores the Indicator as a way to enhance the benefits of career development work with your clients.
