The MBTI® (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®) instrument measures personality preferences on four different scales: Extraversion (E) – Introversion (I), Sensing (S) – Intuition (N), Thinking (T) – Feeling (F), and Judging (J) – Perceiving (P). Results from the indicator are delivered in a four letter type.
To maximize the value of your results from taking the MBTI instrument, CAPT includes a one-hour personal feedback session delivered by a qualified top Myers-Briggs® professional with years of experience in helping others understand and interpret their results. CAPT, cofounded in 1975 by the developer of the MBTI, Isable Briggs Myers, offers unparalleled expertise in interpreting and applying MBTI results for clients.
You may take the MBTI instrument online or with paper and pencil. To take the assessment, contact CAPT by emailing or call us at 800.777.2278. If you email us, please be sure to give us your phone number and times when you can be reached.
- After notifying CAPT of your desire to take the MBTI instrument, a CAPT representative will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. She will outline the process of how you will receive and return the materials (for paper administration) or direct you to an online site (for electronic administration) and explain how feedback of the results will be given.
- Once the MBTI instrument has been scored and you have received your feedback packet, we will contact you to set the telephone feedback appointment.
- During the one-hour feedback session, your feedback provider will explain your results in detail, help you to discover your "best-fit" personality type, and suggest ways to use this information that will best benefit you to reach your personal goals. You will also learn of other resources to help make use of the type information you receive.
- Once your feedback session has been completed, we will email you a .pdf of your MBTI® Interpretive Report
